Shah Rukh’s Pathaan joined 100 crore movie club on 1st day

Amid protests and threats of violence, Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s Pathaan has made history with its first day box office collection of over 50 crores in India.

‘Pathaan’ is off to a flying start, not just in India but at the overseas box office too. At the domestic box office, the film has earned around Rs 57 crore nett and a similar opening has been recorded at the international box office too.

The film debuted at number one in the UAE and Singapore as well. Aside from that, Pathaan reportedly managed to cross $1 Million in the USA by Wednesday afternoon itself.

Bollywood Hungama said that audience word of mouth is “extremely positive” and the same can be said for critic reviews. If Pathaan makes INR 3 billion, it will become the first-ever SRK film to do so.

Directed by Sidharth Anand, ‘Pathaan’ also features Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in lead roles. The film was released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on January 25. Owing to the Republic Day holiday today, ‘Pathaan’ collection is expected to grow massively.

Shah Rukh Khan returned to the screens after four long years withSiddharth Anand’s Pathaan. Also starring Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana, the film is a part of YRF’s spy universe.
