Two suspects arrested in Machar Colony incident

Two suspects have been taken into custody by Karachi police on the charges of the brutal killing of two telecom workers Machar Colony on the pretext of dacoits.

After the tragic incident, the Karachi police took action against the mob, for torturing the two workers.

As per police officials, two suspects have been arrested.

Police said that eight suspects were identified with the help of available videos of the lynching incident. Police added that names, addresses and other information were collected about the eight suspects who were involved in hurling stones.

Earlier, the two members of a telecommunication company who were thought to be ‘kidnappers’ were tortured to death by the mob Kamari area, in Karachi on Friday.

According to the SSP Kemari Fida Hussain Janwari, the deceased were the members of the company who came to check the signals of mobile phones in the area.

SSP Kemari further said, Machar colony is a backward area of the city where the mob attacked on the rumors that dacoits have landed in the area to kidnap the children

SSP Janwari said the case would be investigated on merit and culprits involved in the incident will be held accountable.
