Army Chief met UN Military Adviser Gen. Diop

Army Chief  General Qamar Javed Bajwa met United Nations Military Adviser General Birame Diop during the ongoing visit to the United States. The top military officials discussed overall regional matters.

During the meeting both sides had a discussion about matters of mutual interest as well as the devastation caused by floods in Pakistan. Gen Diop expressed his sorrow over the destruction caused by floods in Pakistan and offered condolence to the families of the victims for their loss. He also assured full UN support for the affectees. Army Chief General Bajwa applauded the role of Gen Diop- who is from Senegal- in promoting core values of the United Nations and its response during the disaster in the country.
