President calls for increasing Lady Health Workers coverage

President calls for increasing Lady Health Workers coverage in the country.

President Dr Arif Alvi directed, while chairing a meeting regarding Sehatmand Jawan Project under Kamyab Jawan Program in Islamabad today (Tuesday).

He wants expanding the coverage of Lady Health Workers in the country to ensure the provision of preventive and curative care services.

Furthermore, he said the health sector of the country is facing various challenges due to lack of medical professionals and paramedical staff.

He expressed hope that Sehatmand Jawan program would help provide health services at the community level, particularly to women and children.

Meanwhile, President Alvi also addressed a national conference on National Integration and Cultural Assimilation in Islamabad today..

He asked the people to get better understanding of their rich culture and history and foil designs aimed at creating cultural divisions in society.

The President said people should visit museums and other places besides reading books to acquaint themselves with their culture.

Peaceful civilization of Mohenjo Daro

Moreover, he also alluded to the peaceful civilization of Mohenjo Daro dating back to five thousand years.

The President further said we are proud of our history and values.

He said Pakistan having a beautiful amalgam of cultures is an emerging nation as it has been put in the right direction.

Furthermore, he said we should promote tolerance.

He also emphasized the need to stay alert of fake news which create anarchy in the society.

The President warned that the prejudice campaign unleashed by the Indian rulers entail serious consequences.
