Dr. Arif Alvi warned that the increasing Coronavirus cases will make the situation out of control for hospitals.

In a video message on Friday, he urged the nation to take precautions to overcome this difficulty.

The President asked the public to wear face masks and follow SOPs during Ramazan, Taraweeh, Youm-e-Ali and Eid.

He said as per directions of Ulema, elderly people should not go to mosques for offering Taraweeh.

Meanwhile, Oxygen production in Pakistan rose from 465 tons to 725 tons per day in the time span of a year.

In a twitter thread on Friday, Minister for Planning Asad Umar said this.

He said the country’s oxygen production has increased from 465 tons to 725 tons per day.

Moreover, he said Pakistan has also imported 19,200 oxygen cylinders last year to ensure the distribution.

Punjab govt plan

Meanwhile, Punjab Government has prepared a comprehensive plan to increase the number of corona vaccination centers.

They planned to increase them from 135 to 246 to facilitate people across the province.

Provincial Health Minister Dr Yasmeen Rashid said, while addressing a meeting in Lahore.

The meeting reviewed the  coronavirus situation.

The minister further said that vaccination process continues at a fast pace in the province.
