Govt settles all matters with proscribed Tehreek Labbaik TLP, says Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed.

He stated this, while addressing a news conference in Islamabad today (Wednesday).

He further said all matters settled with the proscribed Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan after negotiations with them.

However, he made clear 200 FIRs against the violent TLP workers will proceed under due legal process.

The Interior Minister said that they have released 669 workers of banned TLP.

He  said the TLP could file an appeal against the decision of its banning within thirty days.

He further said a committee will decide the appeal.

Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said forty million rupees will be disbursed among the heirs of the martyred policemen and the injured police officials.

Moreover, the Interior Minister said that the writ of the state has been ensured.

He said no one will be allowed to take the law into his own hands.

He said Prime Minister Imran Khan will sensitize the Western world about sanctity of Prophet Mohammad Sallallah o Allaihe wa Sallam Khatim-un-Nabiyeen.

Furthermore, he said that the PM would convince them that any incident of blasphemy hurts Muslims.
