Interior Minister announces success of talks with proscribed TLP

Interior Minister announces success of talks with proscribed TLP – Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan.

Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has said talks between the government and proscribed outfit  have remained successful.

In a video message, he said that the TLP agreed to call off its sit-ins across the country.

It will also call off sit-ins at Masjid ul Rahmatul Lil Alameen.

Furthermore, he announced withdrawal of the cases registered against TLP activists including those under the Fourth Schedule shortly.

Meanwhile, both sides will take forward the process of talks.

Moreover, the the Interior Minister said of presenting a resolution in the National Assembly today.

That means referring the demanded expulsion of French Ambassador from the country to the NA.

Meanwhile, the National Assembly session rescheduled from Thursday to today.

National Assembly secretariat issued a notification regarding change in schedule of the session this morning.

Earlier, the Information Minister Fawad Hussain Chaudhry had talked of third round of talks with TLP.

He said in the second round of talks, Punjab Governor and Law Minister represented the government side.

He further announced Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed and Minister for Religious Affairs Dr Noor-Ul-Haq Qadri’s participation in the third round.
