In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K), former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti made this appeal.

She stressed the need for more unity to meet the challenge of Indian onslaught against the people of Jammu and Kashmir head-on collectively.

While talking to the media in Srinagar, she dismissed speculations about any rift in Peoples Alliance for Gupkar Declaration coalition.

Meanwhile, a 40-year-old woman and her son were burnt to death after their house caught fire in Srinagar.

On the other hand, National Panthers Party chairman and former minister Harsh Dev Singh slammed the BJP’s claim.

He said the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party India’s claim regarding abrogation of Article 370 ushering in a new era of dawn have proved a farce.

Singh said this, while addressing a public meeting at Moutlian Nagrota in Samba area of Jammu region.

Moreover, he regretted that Kashmiris had faced worst ever crisis during the past few years.

Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Forum for Peace and Territorial Integrity held a meeting in Jammu.

It called for initiation of steps by India and Pakistan to resolve all outstanding issues through talks.

Meanwhile, the regional political parties have stepped up their demand for restoration of statehood of Jammu and Kashmir with Articles 370 and 35A.
