India made unwarranted assertions in the United Nations General Assembly about the recent fire incident in a Hindu temple in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The delegate of Pakistan Zulqarnain Chheena exercised his right of reply in General Assembly in New York.
He said that New Delhi should set its own house in order rather than feigning concern for minority rights elsewhere.
He further said India is most egregious and persistent violator of minority rights itself.
The Pakistan delegate said the blatant acts of discrimination against Muslims and other minorities in India take place with state complicity.
UN General Assembly adopts resolution for safeguarding religious sites
UN General Assembly on Thursday adopted resolution for safeguarding religious sites.
The resolution called for strengthened international efforts to foster a global dialogue on promotion of a culture of tolerance and peace at all levels.
Besides, UNGA’s resolution want aforesaid action based on respect for human rights and for the diversity of religions and beliefs.
Moreover, it condemns all acts or threats of violence, destruction, damage or endangerment, directed against religious sites.
The UNGA further denounced any moves to obliterate or forcibly convert any religious sites.
