According to latest statistics issued by NCOC, more 2,731 people tested positive.

388,598 patients have been recovered while active cases in the country are 48,369.
The death toll due to coronavirus has risen to 9,010 with 105 more deaths during the last twenty-four hours across the country.
Meanwhile, Special Assistant to Chief Minister (SACM) Punjab on Information Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan accused PDM of hike in corona cases.
She said in a statement that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) 11 parties wants increase in corona cases.
In a statement, she identified the opposition as a group of fools as they were not realising the alarming situation of COVID-19.
Furthermore, she said fake princess of Jati Umra and her maids were creating hue and cry.
The SACM said that 31 patients died due to corona in Punjab during the last 24 hours.
The number of new corona patients stood 686 and Lahore had 62,085 active corona patients.
Awan said the number of corona patients in Punjab had reached 127,212.
Meanwhile, Special Assistant to the Prime Minster on National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Dr Faisal Sultan expressed views on it.
He noted role of media as important in creating public awareness about COVID-19.
While addressing the participants of an online workshop for journalists on ‘COVID-19, he lauded the role of civil society and media.
Dr Faisal Sultan said both of them kept the public informed about the coronavirus.
Moreover, he apprised the participants of the challenges which the COVID-19 posed.
He also shared the measures the government has taken to curb the second wave of the pandemic.
