Minister for Railways Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed says the government is committed to run Pakistan Railways on modern lines during the next five years to provide best and comfortable travel facilities to the passengers.

Talking to Egyptian Ambassador, Dr. Tarek Dahrough in Islamabad, he said Pakistan Railways would welcome Egyptian investments in its ongoing infrastructure and rolling stock improvement projects.

Sheikh Rasheed said Pakistan Railways would also facilitate and encourage Egyptian Railways and its private railway companies for investing in the department.

In his remarks, the ambassador said partnership at governmental level would be encouraged.
