ECP observes National Voters Day

ECP observes National Voters Day for awareness on registration of voters.

The Election Commission of Pakistan observe the Day across the country today to create awareness about importance of registration as voters.

In this regard, the ECP would host main event in Islamabad.

Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja during the ceremony.

Meanwhile, Provincial Offices of the Election Commission also organize events in connection with the day.

Since Pakistan held the first general elections on 7th December, 1970, ECP observe National Voters’ Day to commemorate that.

The primary purpose of commemorating the day is to create awareness among general public about the importance of vote.

Specially, the ECP aims to include all segments of the society in electoral process.
