Kashmiris observe Jammu Martyrs Day across the world today (Friday).

On both sides of the Line of Control and the world over, they are observing the Jammu Martyrs’ Day.

They are renewing pledge to thwart Indian machinations and to continue the martyrs’ mission till the realization of their inalienable right to self-determination.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the forces of Maharaja Hari Singh, Indian army and Hindu extremists had massacred hundreds of thousands of Kashmiris.

They massacred them in different parts of Jammu region, while they were migrating to Pakistan during the first week of November in 1947.

Meanwhile, All Parties Hurriyat Conference and other Hurriyat leaders and organizations hailed the great sacrifices of the martyrs.

In Srinagar, APHC spokesman termed the 6th November 1947 tragedy as the worst kind of genocide in human history.

He appealed people to arrange prayer meetings in their respective localities.

People pay tributes to those innocent Muslims who embraced martyrdom in brutal attacks, regardless of their age and gender.

The goons who perpetrated crimes against humanity associated with various Hindu communal and fascist forces.

Moreover, the spokesman said that under a well-planned strategy, thousands of Muslims were taken away from their locations.

Aforesaid forces killed them in cold blood and raped and molested several Muslim women.

In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the day dawned with special prayers for the martyrs of Kashmir liberation struggle.

Praying for Kashmir and Pakistan

People also prayed for early liberation of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and integrity and prosperity of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Quran Khawani and Fateha Khawani is being held at various places for the souls of martyrs of Jammu and Kashmir.

Azad Jammu and Kashmir government have declared a public holiday in AJK today.

Kashmiris have announced public meetings and seminars all over the state.

Events aim to pay homage to the martyrs of Jammu and Kashmir who sacrificed their lives for the cause of Islam and Pakistan.
