Minister proposes Peace Road Race

Minister proposes Peace Road Race from Peshawar to Afghanistan.

Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination (IPC) Dr. Fehmida Mirza said, while addressing the prize distribution ceremony Sunday.

She shared her suggestion with the Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF) during the event held at the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB).

Mirza said PCF should organize a road race from Peshawar to Afghanistan.

According to her, it would send a message of peace in the region. The government will also support the federation.

A total of 110 cyclists from Afghanistan and Pakistan participated in the road race held from Islamabad to Murree.

Rizwan of Sui Southern Gas bagged the first place, while Fasihullah of Afghanistan and Hunzila of Baikistan took second and third places, respectively.

Meanwhile, ‘Cycling Sunday Islamabad’ event held.

Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP), National Incubation Center, Islamabad Cycling Association and other partners jointly organized it.

The event  brought people together from all segments of life to enjoy a day of cycle riding, racing and more.

‘Cycling Sunday Islamabad’ took place from Jinnah Avenue to D-chowk.

The cyclists took to this picturesque area and its panoramic greenery.

Administration made arrangements on the section of the road entirely for the event.
