During the visit today, Governor Sindh Imran Ismail, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, members of the provincial assembly and businessmen will call on the Prime Minister.
A briefing about the situation prevailing in Karachi is also part of engagements.
The Prime Minister will make important announcements under Karachi Transformation Plan during a media briefing.
Meanwhile, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz lauded Prime Minister Imran Khan’s commitment to restore the real identity of Karachi as an industrial city.
Later in a tweet on Saturday, he underlined Karachi as the backbone of the economy of the country.
He also mentioned problems of Karachi as “our problems.”
The Minister said we cannot leave the people of Karachi at the mercy of Sindh government.
He alleged that the PPP’s Sindh government has destroyed the infrastructure of city during their 12-year long rule.
On Thursday, Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar chaired a progress review meeting of the Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) project in Islamabad.
He directed the concerned authorities to take all necessary steps immediately to involve private sector for construction of third phase of KCR project.
Furthermore, he directed Pakistan Railways to formulate a system of public-private partnership for the third phase of KCR project.
