Matters of mutual interest including bilateral defence, security cooperation and regional security came under discussion..
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release, the COAS was on his official visit to KSA.
APP earlier reported that Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday arrived in Saudi Arabia.
Earlier on his arrival, the COAS was received by Chief of General Staff General (Staff) Fayiadh bin Ha’med Al-Rowaily. He was presented a guard of honour at the Saudi Ministry of Defence.
General Qamar Javed Bajwa met Chief of General Staff General Fayiadh bin Ha’med Al-Rowaily.
He also called on Commander Joint Forces Lieutenant General Fahad bin Turki Al Saud.
Military to military ties including training exchanges came under discussion in the meetings.
Although his is a scheduled visit, analysts attach importance due to Foreign Minister’s statement on OIC role.
Specially, he expressed disappointment over inaction on Kashmir issue.
Islamabad also witnessed active role of Qatari and Saudi ambassadors on Monday.
Pakistan between Qatar and Saudi Arabia
They met Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Senate chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, respectively.
Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Pakistan and Qatar have deep rooted fraternal relations.
While talking to Qatari Ambassador to Pakistan Sheikh Saud Abdul Rehman Al-Thani in Islamabad on Monday, he expressed confidence that these relations will further strengthen in the days ahead.
Both sides discussed cooperation in different sectors and matters of mutual interests.
Meanwhile, Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy cordial relations.
While talking to Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan who called on him at Parliament House Islamabad on Monday, he said they have always stood with each other in every difficult time.
Moreover, they discussed important issues ,including bilateral relations.
