PM lauds police and rangers for thwarting terror attack on PSX.

On his twitter account, Prime Minister Imran Khan praised the courage and quick response of police and security forces personnelon Monday.

“I salute our brave police & security personnel who thwarted the condemnable terrorist attack in Karachi on Pakistan Stock Exchange.”

The prime minister also tagged pictures of the brave security personnel with his tweet.

Earlier, the terrorists tried to enter the building of Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) using latest weapons and hand grenade.

However, timely action of security forces thwarted their plot.

Four terrorists lost lives in gunfight with Pakistan Rangers and Police who foiled their attack on the building of PSX.

Meanwhile, five persons including a police officer and security guards also embraced martyrdom.

Many others including a police officer were injured.

Police and Rangers have cordoned off the area and the injured are being shifted to nearby hospitals.

They also seized huge cache of arms and ammunition from the terrorist car found near Pakistan Stock Exchange building.

Meanwhile, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz strongly condemned the attack on PSX in Karachi.

In a tweet, the minister said those who target the country’s economy and development would fail in their nefarious designs.

Those who put their lives on the line to save the lives of the people and thwarted the attack are real heroes of the nation, he said.

Shibli paid tributes to the martyred security personnel.

Furthermore, he expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of lives with bereaved families and prayed for speedy recovery of the injured
