Punjab CM and Governor meet PM

Punjab CM and Governor meet PM Khan while FM meets Chief Minister Punjab in Lahore today.

Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar and Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar Saturday separately called on Prime Minister Imran Khan.

According to the PM office media wing, the prime minister had arrived in Lahore on a day-long visit.

Meanwhile, The Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi called on Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar in Lahore today (Saturday).

While speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the provincial govt had notified  posts of Additional Chief Secretary and Additional Inspector General for South Punjab Secretariat.

He said that Additional Chief Secretary and Additional Inspector General will be posted in Bahawalpur and Multan.

He said that thirty-five percent development funds have been allocated for South Punjab.

On this occasion, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said these steps will improve governance in districts of South Punjab.

Earlier, Shah Mahmood called no new tax the hallmark of next year budget.

Instead, he cited, government reduced the burden on the masses through cutting taxes, duties and tariffs.

In a video message, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi the effort aimed at improving the tax collection system.  Govt wants to improve it through reforms in the FBR.

He said the government is trying to generate economic activity in the country.
