Opposition MNAs raise slogans against govt corruption when Minister Hammad Azhar was making budget speech.

National Assembly was reverberating with their slogans throughout the budget speech.

Opposition MNAs raise slogans

The Members of National Assembly (MNAs) interrupted Hammad Azhar’s speech through slogans.

Moreover, the opposition members were also thumping desks to lodge protest against the government .

Meanwhile, they displayed placards inscribed with slogans.

They also wrote sugar thieves to highlight the the government’s corrupt leaders.

Similarly, they slammed the government over wheat crisis related controversy.

However, NA speaker continued to ask the MNAs to desist from displaying and keep silent.

But Opposition MNAs turned a deaf ear to the speaker’s call.

Finally, the Opposition MNAs walked out of the house.

Leader of the Opposition Shahbaz Sharif, former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and ex-minister Ahsan Iqbal did not attend the session. They belong to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN).

They remain under self-quarantine after testing positive for Coronavirus.

Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto also did not attend the session.

Earlier, Federal Minister for Industries and Production Hammad Azhar presented the budgetary proposals in the National Assembly on Friday.

He presented federal fiscal budget for 2020-21 with an outlay of over Rs7294.9bn .
