FM discusses peace process during meeting with special envoy of Pakistan to Afghanistan Muhammad Sadiq in Islamabad today (Saturday).

Special Envoy of Pakistan to Afghanistan Ambassador Muhammad Sadiq called on Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi .

FM discusses peace process

The FM noted lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan indispensable for construction and development of the entire region.

He said Pakistan sincerely played its constructive role in Afghan peace process, which the world community is also acknowledging now.

The Foreign Minister said Islamabad will continue to play its vigorous role in maintaining regional peace and stability.

During the meeting, matters pertaining to Afghan peace process as well as regional peace and stability came under discussion.

On the other hand, sixteen Taliban militants killed after Afghan Air Force conducted an airstrike at Dehak village in Farah province today.

According to provincial police spokesman targeted militants tried to storm security checkpoints.

He named Taliban divisional commander, Raz Mohammad among the killed.

Meanwhile, a road side bomb blast killed elven security personnel at Khash district in Badakhshan province today.

The provincial police spokesman said the bomb planted in a vehicle.

Four Taliban militants including shadow governor of Taliban for Khash district, Mullah Hamid also lost lives.
