Prime Minister to launch Ehsaas Ration Programme

Prime Minister to launch Ehsaas Ration Programme this week under government of Pakistan’s welfare agenda.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection Dr. Sania Nishtar said this while speaking in Radio Pakistan Islamabad’s program Raabta on Monday.

She said Prime Minister Imran Khan will inaugurate ration programme of Ehsaas this week.

The ration will be distributed after careful scrutiny of eligible persons.

She said the systems of NADRA and Ehsaas will be utilized to determine eligibility.

12 million families would receive the cash assistance after completion of the programme.

That means ore than 80 million people will benefit from it.

Meanwhile, she also responded to live calls and SMS messages in the programme.

She said it important to understand that people who have nothing in assets will be given preference in the disbursement of cash.

She appreciated the role of Radio Pakistan in carrying out the public service messages of Ehsaas program.

Dr Sania praised it for disseminating information about it across the country through its broadcasts.

In her message, she said Ehsaas Emergency Cash scheme followed transparency and merit.

People from Islamabad, Abbottabad, Mianwali, Mirpurkhas, Quetta, Karachi, Bannu and Shahdadpur participated in the programme.

However, they participated through telephone calls and many others through SMS messages.
