Pakistan to decide whether to end or continue lockdown amid Coronavirus threat during a special meeting of NCOC today. 

The NCOC (National Command and Operation Center) is meeting in Islamabad.

Earlier, Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar spoke on the issue.

In his daily media briefing in Islamabad, he said the meeting would take some major decisions regarding coronavirus situation.

He said the NCOC would also decide fate of ongoing lockdown in the country.

Moreover,  meeting would prepare recommendations for the National Coordination Committee.

That committee (NCC) would meet later today.

Prime Minister Imran Khan will preside over the NCC meeting that would make final decisions on some major issues.

They decide whether to continue lockdown or ease it.

Asad Umar said Chief Ministers of all provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan, and AJK Prime Minister would participate in the meeting to ensure that all decisions are made unanimously.

He said in order to support the decision on lockdown, the federal government will provide all required information to the provinces prior to the meeting.

However, government says they want to ensure continuity of the industrial and economic activities.
Higher officials will dsicuss future planning as well.

The Committee may decide providing more relief to the people.

Because common man face difficulties and hardships due to lockdown to contain the spread of coronavirus.

The Coronavirus death toll in Pakistan rose to 93 yesterday.

According to official source, the number of Coronavirus infection cases in the country has reached 5,374.
