Khusro Bakhtiar sought to quit

Khusro had claimed some elements were maligning unjutsly.

He furtehr clarified he always distanced from anything related to the Sugar Industry.

Moreover, he cited he had refused to attend the meeting on sugar sector export permissio while Asad Umar was chairing the meeting.

Khusro Bakhtiar said that the portfolio assigned to him at that time was of Planning & Development. That portfolio had nothing to do with the discussion.

He noted he got the responsibility of National Food Security and Research four months ago.

In view of its direct link with various crops he sought to quit.

However, it is not clear when he sent the letter to the PM because the latter has assigned Khusro Bakhtiar the portfolio as Minister for Economic Affairs.
