Issues of Japanese investors due to restrictions on business activities discussed during a meeting of Japanese Ambassador with PM’s Adviser Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh today (Monday).

Japanese Ambassador Kuninori Matsuda called on Prime Minister’s Adviser on Finance and Revenue Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh in Islamabad.

He discussed certain issues which Japanese investors face in Pakistan arising out of the restrictions on business activities.
Earlier, the Ambassador shared with the Adviser the steps which Japan took to contain the coronavirus pandemic.
Ambassador Matsuda also shared the impact they have created so far.
He said his country supports the people of Pakistan in these trying times.
Moreover, he also assured Japan’s readiness to offer its expertise and any sort of assistance to the government of Pakistan if the situation so requires.
The Adviser appreciated the efforts of the Government of Japan to control the Pandemic.
He thanked the Japanese government for its support to the people of Pakistan.
Pakistan faces problems

Pakistani nation spends life under lockdown because of extraordinary precautionary and preventive measures.

55 people have so far died of Covid19 in Pakistan while confirmed cases rose to 3277.
Earlier, Pakistan government has adopted strict measures to prevent deadly virus spread.
It established COVID-19 Relief Tiger Force. They would assist the government in tackling the coronavirus crisis.
On March 30, 2020, Prime Minister announced establishment of Corona Relief Tiger Force.
He said Corona Relief Tiger Force will work in collaboration with civil administration and army.
Together they would contain the spread of corona virus.

He said a cell is working in the PM Office round the clock to monitor the situation closely.

PM Imran Khan has urged the nation to get united to make the fight against coronavirus successful.

He said the only country that has remained successful so far in this struggle is China that put 20 million people under lockdown to overcome the killer bug.

He said if Pakistan had similar situation like China, he could have shut down the whole cities. However, twenty five percent of our population lives under the poverty line and additional twenty percent is on the borderline.

However, he made clear no lockdown can be successful if people become unemployed and have nothing to eat.

Moreover, PM Khan said corona virus does not distinguish between rich and poor and everyone will have to play their role in its success.
