Comprehensive roadmap to ensure uninterrupted food supplies amid Coronavirus threat to be announced today. 

 

Prime Minister Imran Khan will announce roadmap today to ensure uninterrupted food supplies across the country.

Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting, Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said while briefing the media persons.

She shared PTI’s Core Committee meeting decisions which Prime Minister chaired as party chairman in Islamabad.

She said the Prime Minister renewed his pledge to ensure delivery of ration and food supplies to deserving poor families across the country at their doorsteps.

Awan said due to ongoing lockdown to prevent spread of coronavirus, national economy is being affected.

Moreover, the SAPM said that chain of daily use items has slowed down.

She said the Prime Minister advised Minister for National Food Security to ensure availability of food items, including flour.

She said claims there is no shortage of edible items in the country.

Meanwhile, the committee expressed the resolve to treat hoarders and profiteers with an iron hand.

Later, Sindh Health Department confirmed two more deaths in the province from coronavirus. 

At least five people have died of Coronavirus in Sindh province.


According to the department, the two deceased passed away this morning were 66 and 52 year old and belonged to Karachi.
