Ministry announces balloting for Hajj under the government scheme today. 

Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sahibzada Noor-ul-Haq Qadri will perform the balloting.
The balloting will choose over 107,526 intending pilgrims for Hajj under the government scheme.

The ministry said to have received a total of 1,49,330 applications under the Government Hajj Scheme.

According to the Hajj Policy 2020, initially 179,210 Pakistanis to perform the sacred religious obligation.
However, they will include 107,526 under the Government Hajj Scheme while 71,684 through Hajj Group Organizers.

Besides, goverment has reserved some 10,000 seats for senior citizens under its own scheme.

Unsuccessful applicants in balloting continuously for the last three years will automatically be declared successful.

The religious affairs ministry website will upload the results of balloting. 

Religious Affairs ministry advised the intending pilgrims to contact on these numbers 051-9205696 and 051-9216980-82 for any guidance and information.
Banks received Hajj applications
From last week of February, all the designated branches of banks had received hajj applications.
They received it under the government scheme.
According to a spokesperson of the ministry of religious affairs, the applications will be received by the banks till 6th of next month.
He said banks also received forms on Saturday and Sunday.
The spokesman said they had simplified and computerized Hajj application.
