PM’s Special Assistant hails key role of women journalists in transforming challenges into opportunities.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan said this while addressing a training workshop for women journalists in Islamabad on Monday.

She said women journalists had played a key role in transforming challenges into opportunities.
She further said that an enabling environment is mandatory to highlight the potential of women journalists.
Firdous Ashiq Awan said the Information Service Academy is going to take a leading role in training of journalists and media persons.
She said, especially women journalists would also benefit from it .
Awan said the dream of free and responsible media cannot be achieved unless women play the vanguard role.
