Government systematically moves away from traditional export sectors, Pharma Summit told.
Prime Minister’s Adviser on Commerce Razak Dawood said this while addressing Pharma Summit in Islamabad on Wednesday.
He assured to remove all the impediments in the way of development of industrial sector.

He said the government is systematically moving away from traditional export sectors to the new ones.
The new sectors include pharmaceutical, engineering and Information Technology.
Dawood further said it would significantly bolster the exports.
Besides, he noted that export led growth is important to save the country from debt trap.
The Adviser said Pakistan is now also exploring new markets for its products.
He pointed out that Africa is an emerging market.
Dawood said we have prepared Look Africa policy to exploit this market.
He said he and other officials recently conducted a successful conference in Nairobi.
He announced more such visits in the near future to stay engaged with the African countries.
The Adviser said the pharmaceutical industry should prepare its export strategy.
Moreover, Dawood assured the government will extend full help to enhance this sector’s exports.
