Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhary said while talking to the media persons in Islamabad on Thursday.

He said that social media is being regulated to discourage the harmful content and fake accounts.
However, he rejected the impression that the government aims to put curbs on the social media through regulations.
Meanwhile, Fawad expressed government’s readiness to hold talks with the opposition parties.
The government remains ready to talk to the opposition bring amendments in the accountability law.
He further said two rounds of talks held with the PML (N) and the PPP on the matter.
Moreover, Fawad said that the differences between the two parties are halting the process.
