Cabinet to approve measures to reduce food items prices tomorrow.

Prime Minister Imran Khan made this announcement in tweet on Sunday.

He announced that the government would come up with various measures to reduce the prices of basic food items.

Federal cabinet will meet on Tuesday.

PM Khan said: “I understand the difficulties ordinary people including salaried class are confronting.”

He said the government had decided, come what may,  to take various measures to reduce prices of basic food items for the common man in Cabinet on Tuesday.

However, all the relevant government agencies had launched an in-depth probe into the flour and sugar price hikes.

“The nation should rest assured that all those responsible will be held accountable and penalized,” Khan said.

Imran Khan vows to strengthen economy

Meanwhile, Prime Minister reiterated the government’s resolve to strengthen national economy.

He also vowed to overcome inflation in the country.

While talking to MNAs belonging to Hazara Division, he said so, on Thursday.

He said the government has chalked out a comprehensive strategy to promote tourism and create job opportunities for the youth.

PM Khan assured to provide immediate relief to the downtrodden segment of society.

The Prime Minister directed the concerned officials to constitute price control committees at union councils’ level to check prices of various commodities.
