Over Rs10bn development projects approved

Over Rs10bn development projects approved while overRs30bn project recommended to Executive Committee of National Economic Council.

At least sic projects worth Rs10.3 billion get approval during a meeting of Central Development Working Party. 

The CDWP also recommended two projects worth Rs30.86 billion to Executive Committee of National Economic Council for consideration.


Meeting of the CDWP held in Islamabad Thursday. Deputy Chairman Planning Commission Mohammad Jehanzeb Khan chaired.


The meeting approved projects related to energy worth Rs 3626.54 million and Rs 2354.32 million.

It also accorded approval to two projects related to Physical Planning and Housing worth Rs151.971 million and Rs150.836 million, respectively.

A project related to Science & Technology worth Rs 17918.251 million referred to ECNEC.


Meanwhile, the meeting approved a project related to Transport & Communication worth 4000 million rupees while it referred the second project worth 12945.202 million rupees to ECNEC.


The meeting also approved a project related to education worth 203.675 million rupees.
Two position papers worth 4 billion rupees were also approved by CDWP.
