MQM leader Khalid Maqbool asks PM to accept his resignation as Minister immediately.

Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui had tendered resignation as Federal Minister for Information Technology.

However, Prime Minister Imran Khan has not accepted his resignation.

PM Khan has spoken to Siddiqui while PTI senior leaders have met MQM leaders.

They have asked the coalition partner to remain partnership intact.

But, Dr Khalid Maqbool has again requested the Prime Minister to accept his resignation.

That shows deadlock persists.

PTI meet MQM on January 13, 2019

PTI heavyweights failed to woo MQM to rescind Khalid Maqbool resignation on Jan.13, 2019.

Federal Minister Asad Umar led high level delegation of ruling PTI visited MQM headquarters at Bahadurabad.

Governor Sindh Imran Ismail, PTI MPAs Sindh Firdous Shamim and Haleem Adil accompanied him.

They all assured the MQM that the PTI would sort out their complaints.

But, MQM refused to change mind.

That shows the failure of PTI in its firefighting mission.

Although Governor Sindh Imran Ismail had made claims, MQM response demonstrated his failure as well.

MQM leader Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui

MQM leader Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui quits as Federal Minister as Siddiqui made this announcement in Karachi on Sunday.

While addressing a press conference in Karachi, he said to be quitting as Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication.

Senior Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leaders accompanied him.

Furthermore, he noted MQM had promised the government to help with the formation of the government.

However, he said now they held their end of the deal because they see no progress on any of the promises.

“It is becoming increasingly difficult for me to remain a part of the federal cabinet as questions are being raised upon my presence in the cabinet,” he explained.
